Forever In Our Hearts
Our beloved First Lady, Chamika Nixon-McCray, left this world on June 14, 2025, after a courageous battle with stage four cancer. Although we are filled with sorrow during this difficult time, we find comfort in knowing that she is free from pain. We sincerely extend our gratitude for all the calls, texts, and visits, and for simply standing by us as we go through this journey. Our Prayer
Dear Lord, as we enter this month we ask that you would draw us closer to you. Please lead and guide us.

Help us to order our days, live life to the fullest, and to take nothing for granted. We thank you for knowing our needs before we ask and for being by our side in all we face.

May we be a blessing to others and point the way to you. We love you and we commit this day and month to your hands. In Jesus' name we pray.

A Proverbs 31 Woman

Many of us have read Proverbs 31, which expounds on the characteristics of a godly woman. However, after reading this chapter, many women are left pondering the thought of how, as Christian women, can we be like her. Oftentimes we find ourselves asking the question, What makes me a Proverbs 31 woman? How can I apply it to my daily life? Although many have defined the Proverbs 31 woman by what she does and the titles she holds, it is imperative to take a deeper look into the character of who she is as a woman.
Unbeknownst to some, the woman described in Proverbs 31 probably does not describe an actual person. Some scholars believe chapter 31 serves as a letter written to Solomon from his mother, Bathsheba. She was simply explaining to him the kind of woman he should find. More specifically, she explained to her son the right qualities of a God-fearing, virtuous woman.
