Forever In Our Hearts

Our beloved First Lady, Chamika Nixon-McCray, left this world on June 14, 2025, after a courageous battle with stage four cancer. Although we are filled with sorrow during this difficult time, we find comfort in knowing that she is free from pain. We sincerely extend our gratitude for all the calls, texts, and visits, and for simply standing by us as we go through this journey.

 First Lady Chamika Nixon -McCray

Our first lady embraced numerous roles: wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and a devoted prayer warrior. Her deep passion and love for serving her church and Jesus were truly remarkable. She demonstrated that being a first lady extended beyond just two hours on Sundays; it was a daily commitment. She was a dedicated and loyal partner to our pastor, providing essential support through encouragement, guidance, and heartfelt prayers. Recognized as a woman of faith and courage, she nurtured a sense of community and connection. As a church family, we express our heartfelt gratitude for treating us like your own children, for your care, prayers, and for being a beacon of inspiration and encouragement. We're thankful for all the behind-the-scenes efforts you made to weave the Life Sanctuary together. We're grateeful for the exemplary ability to balance marriage, motherhood, and ministry. We will carry on your teachings and guidance. We love you.
